Sons of the American Legion Squadron
Membership Eligibility
All male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of The American Legion, and such male descendents of veterans who died in service during World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, and Persian Gulf, during the delimiting periods set forth in Article IV, Section 1, of the National Constitution of the American Legion or who died subsequent to their honorable discharge form such service, shall be eligible for membership in the "Sons of The American Legion."

American Legion Baseball

On March 26, 2008 the Post gave St. john's Hospital and Cushing's Hospital stuffed toys, crayons and coloring books.
Essay Contest:
The American Legion Post 41 holds an essay contest at Tonganoxie Elementary School each year. The children are given a Patriotic topic. This year the topic was "What's the 4th of July means to me". The winners of the contest are awarded:
1st place - 100.00 savings bond and a Framed Certificate
2nd place - 50.00 savings bond and a Framed Certificate
3rd place - Framed Certificate and a Gold Medal
The winners will receive their awards May 22, 2008.
